GLEN TILLEY – Head of Property Management

Glen has over 20 years of knowledge and experience of the block management sector, most of it gained working for RMG, one of the largest agents in the UK, where he managed one of their prime regional offices.
His role at Urban Owners is to lead the property management team, providing clients with the most relevant and up-to-date knowledge of block management and ensuring our team delivers the customer service that our clients expect and deserve.
Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children, watching football, going to the theatre and getting involved with property refurbishment projects.

KARIM ELYASSE – Head of Maintenance & Project Management
CBIFM, MSc FM
Karim has an MSc in Property and Construction and is a Certified Member of the British Institute of Facilities Management. Before joining Urban Owners he worked for companies providing residential and commerical refurbishment and facilities management services, bringing over 18 year of building services and project management discipline to Urban Owners.
He focuses on the discipline needed for block management whilst balancing the provision of a safe working environment, quality of service and value for money. Karim oversees all projects Urban Owners manages together with guiding the planned and reactive maintenance to buildings we manage, ensuring that the increasing demands of Health & Safety Legislation are considered appropriately.
Karim has a young family that keep him busy when not at work.

STEPHEN CHARLES – Head of Lease & Right To Manage
Stephen is a law graduate of Kings College London and a Member of the Institute of Residential Property Management. He was Urban Owner’s second employee when he joined in 2009 and specialises in Right To Manage and providing General Counsel to the company.
In particular he leads our Right To Manage practice and has personally helped over 400 blocks to success in taking control of their blocks of flats. He is most probably the person who has processed the most RTM acquisitions in the country.
Stephen manages our Northern England Office in Sheffield supporting block management operations across Northern and Middle England, including: Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and Sheffield.
Outside of work Stephen has a keen interest in modern film & literature and is an optimistic Tottenham supporter.

BEN ANDREWS – Head of Service Charge Accounting
Ben started work with Charted Accountants Kingston Smith over 35 years ago. He first became involved in block management in 1998 when he joined Chesterton’s. He has worked for numerous large and small block management agents including County Estate Management where Ben lead their Service Charge Accounts department with a team of 10 audit staff.
Throughout that time, Ben has implemented the accounting concepts for prestigious developments such as Imperial Wharf, One SE8 and The Brompton’s to name but a few ranging from 3 to 1100 homes, and across Right To Manage, Resident Management Company and Share Of Freehold schemes.
Ben is an avid Chelsea fan. He enjoys ballroom dancing, the odd game of chess, a spot DIY, and values spending time with his family, especially the younger members with whom he shares the traditional values that mean so much to him.

JEREMY GRUNDY – Head of Business Development
BA – History of Art and Graphic design(Cambridge)
Jeremy has over 35 years of commercial and service industry experience gained from senior positions held in business sectors including: healthcare, technology, publishing, consumer marketing and communications.
Jeremy joined Urban Owners after being involved in realising the benefits of enfranchising and taking control of the block of flats he lives in. He is the first point of contact at Urban Owners for homeowners or leaseholders looking for help in taking control of or managing their property. He works closely with our block management team bringing his cross industry experience to bear, continually developing our services to improve and meet client expectations.
Outside of work Jeremy’s time is spent between helping to manage his own block of flats in Hampstead, racing classic motorcycles, being a husband, father and step father to six grown up children. And if he has time, he loves going to the theatre, art galleries and spending time in his beloved Cambridge.
